The Molding Process
CPI has always been involved in the molding process, from
its early days of prototype molding it was apparent that
a high level of expertise was necessary to fulfill the
customers' satisfaction CPI has that high level has been
surpassed.
Injection molding success led to mastering the blow molding
process and the challenges of overmolding have been conquered
by the skilled
Workforce at CPI.
Our molding successes have been in three areas: Injection molding: Injection molding takes
many forms with great complexity. Vertical and horizontal
molds, automatic sprue handling, multi-cavity molds, all
of these are of second nature to the artisans at CPI.
They have done it all, and are good at it.
Overmolding processes: Overmolding is the process
of molding plastic over existing components to create
the strength and flexibility one layer plastic does not
possess. CPI has great success in achieving low cost high
production overmolding processes.
Blow molding: Blow molding is the process
of injecting plastic into a mold and filling the mold
cavities by pressurizing the plastic with air to form
the part. Custom Plastics & Innovations, Inc are masters
of this process.
